EDWIN TAKES A WIFE 11 BY WILL BUSTER

The next two weeks were like a dream. Court life was packed with interesting personalities, excellent food and the highest quality service from Henry's well trained staff. To Eleanor's credit she curbed her tongue in deference to Henry and his generous treatment of her and her new husband. However she took the precaution of snuffing all the candles in their room at night before their carnal romps.

Eleanor particularly enjoyed her long chats with Queen Eleanor and an erudite priest who was an influential bishop. On the other hand, Edwin was passed around from group to group as he met important men from all over the kingdom. As much as possible, Edwin steered the conversations to London events and Richard's upcoming travels to distant Normandy.
