‘This partner bullshit is getting to be too damn much. Having a partnership is probably all right, but not with one of my relatives as a partner.' That's what I was thinking as I dropped down onto my creeper and rolled in under an old van that was supposed to be checked out. It is only a few miles further up the road to the scrap yard and that is where this thing should be - not here taking up my time when I could be with my friends at the pub, damn it!

Looking around, I saw a few places where something was leaking, but I didn't see where it was originating. That's not surprising because the air passing by when the van is underway makes a mess of any liquid. I rolled more to the outside. Now I could see where it came from. It was a break in the brake line, right at the coupling. That is some serious trouble. I'll replace the line. I put my hand up by the passenger door that was open and attempted to pull myself out from under and onto my feet.

I was much surprised by a pretty little foot about to step on my fingers. "Whoa there, lady! Watch where you're stepping." I pulled my hand back and looked up. The woman was struggling with some antique clothing or costume thing she was wearing. I didn't know she was even there. Most customers do not stay in their vehicles when the vehicle is being repaired. But, for every rule there is an exception, so I suppose ...
