A Hitchhiker's First Time

Some time ago I drove a T-2000 Kenworth across country and delivered sensitive cargo for a major carrier. One night I pulled into a truck stop just outside Kansas City, Kansas on my way to San Diego for a tractor and human refuel. I filled-up my tractor first and parked it along the line and went inside to eat. I had been on the road for 8 hours and had a few more hours of driving time to go before I had to call it a night and hit my sleeper. But, I was starving for food as I had not eaten a full meal in over 10 hours.

When I walked into the restaurant (Yes truck stops do have restaurants.) I sat down in a booth and noticed a young guy sitting alone at a table across from me. He looked to be in his mid 20's, around 6 foot, 200 pounds, had a good amount of muscle on him. His brown air and brown eyes caught me at first and then his smile and great chest. I smiled back and ordered my dinner. A T-bone steak, Bake Potato, Green Beans, and a Sweet Tea. As the waitress walked away he got-up and walked over to my booth. He introduced himself as Rick and shook my hand. Rick asked if I was heading towards California, and I told him that yes I was heading to San Diego. I normally did not pick-up hitchhikers but something told me this guy was different.
