This is my first attempt....be kind! This is based on a life experience of mine.

"This should be interesting", Paul thought. He stood in front of the mirror trimming his full beard, preparing to go to the movies. He had received a phone call earlier that day from Katy, an old friend who was returning to town. They had known each other in High School, but hadn't spoken much since then. They had both moved away from home to go to College, and while they had gone to the same city, they were in separate schools and had spoken only twice on the phone during the entire freshmen year. Then Katy had gone home for the summer, while Paul stayed in the city, as he had a decent job delivering pizza. He hadn't of her in quite a while, when out of the blue, she called to say she had gotten an apartment in the city, and was moving back for the rest of the summer. She asked if he wanted to catch a movie, and then check out her apartment. "Check out her apartment" Paul thought to himself. What did that mean? He had always had a crush on Katy, and suspected she liked him as well, however she was the valedictorian their senior year, and he barely managed to graduate. They had never dated, and Katy sounded more friendly than anything when she called. "What the hell", thought Paul as he dressed and locked the house.

He drove across town to the apartment building where Katy had rented a place. He wondered on the way over there if he would have to go up to her apartment to get her. He hoped he would, and that it would give him ...
