Linda was sorely ticked at Chuck. Friday night he was supposed to come to dinner and he didn't show. In frustration, she switches on the t.v.and notices that the New York Giants are playing. She knows what a huge fan Chuck is and how much he likes football., and never misses a game. She calls him and gets the answering machine. Well, the hell with him! She calls up another friend and goes out to a club that night.

The next day, he calls all contrite and full of apologies. He had gotten second thoughts about dinner. She seemed like a little rich girl amusing herself with his affections and working for a couple years until she decides to go to college. He knows her parents are well-to-do and she is their only child as well. He knew about parents like hers, but she had informed him that her parents pretty much let her do her own thing since they already considered her an adult. She was too attractive, too sweet and durng one of their conversations, learned she was not very experienced though she was 20 years old. That was another factor. She seemed to young for his age of 27. She was also too intelligent for her own good.

He likes Linda and is thrilled that she likes him back, but is not sure he wants to get involved with her, since they work for the same company.
