Whew! After a harrowing three week trip to Britain seeking out antiques to bring back to North America, I gave myself a three day rest. Jet lag you know, doesn't get any easier as you age.

So it was Thursday before I returned to the Gallery. I had sent an e-mail to Suzy, my assisstant to that effect and she'd sent one back saying she would welcome my return as things were getting busy. I laughed as I read that since with the amount of goods I had acquired, things might well get even busier.

About 8.00 o'clock in the morning I turned the key in the door of Chancery Galleries and went inside. I flipped on the lights and went over to the coffe maker. To my surprise it was already brewing. I turned to look around and then saw Suzy standing next to a grandfather clock, smiling her dazzling smile. "Welcome back boss" she cooed sweetly and moved toward me with arms outstretched. I took a couple of steps toward her and we embraced. A nice warm friendly hug. There was nothing sexual between Suzy and myself, but she allowed me a soft peck on her cheek and another hug before I kissed her on the forehead and said "nice to be back Suzy".

Suzy had worked for me for almost three years, she was a Fine Arts University graduate and was currently working on her Masters Degree. As far as I knew she was unattached other than to my business at which she excelled. I put her on commission a few months after she started, ...
