The Poker Game

Last Friday, my girlfriend Jenny and I grabbed an early movie and then some pizza before heading back to campus. I like this time of year. Most of the campus is deserted because of spring break. Neither Jenny nor I come from money, so a week of drinking at some warm resort is out of the question for both of us. What is nice is that we have almost all of the college facilities to ourselves. We plan to get most, if not all, of our term papers done this week. Then it's just a straight shot to finals without tons of writing hanging over our heads.

Anyway, we were just walking along, talking about the movie, etc. when we ran into one of my friends, Joe. Joe and I have the same major and have been in a lot of classes together over the last couple of years. We hit it off and became pretty good friends. Joe is also of limited funds, being a newlywed. (Long story - doesn't matter) He and his wife, Amy, live in an off-campus apartment. He was just coming back from grocery shopping and he asked us if we wanted to join them for some movies and maybe some games. This sounded like fun so we joined him and went to his place.

Back at the apartment we all settled in and Joe put on a DVD. There was not much of a plot to it, but it was a strong R rating - and not because of violence. Jenny and I were a little surprised at first, but we got into it as the movie went along. Joe and Amy were constantly ...
