Who Can Focus Anyway?

These things are always soo boring, she thought helplessly. Boring, but necessary to stay in the good books with the boss. Going up in the lift she hoped there would at least be coffee to wake her up. As she entered the room she saw a few familiar faces, a few new ones and of course, the one she had forgotten would be there, but was glad to see. It had been a while since she had seen him in person, but the flirtatious emails and texts had kept her wanting more. She wasn't disappointed.

Trying to keep from being obvious, she deliberately avoided greeting him first, made small talk with the others and lightly touched him on the way to her seat as a gesture of hello.
