Tired, but happy about the contract he was about to sign for investment financing, Jake deplaned off the twin engine Otter in Granada, Nicaragua. Jake, five feet eleven, blonde hair, azure eyes, and fashionably dressed in Hugo Boss from head to toe, retrieved his small suitcase from the jetway and made his way to the limo waiting for him out in the arrivals area. It had been a reasonably short flight from Miami via Managua and then on to Grenada, but he kept himself busy with beefing up the proposal. As he was entering the limousine, a shiny black BMW, he felt the air conditioning sweep over his slim but muscular frame. Phew, what a relief, he thought to himself. The aircraft was stuffy and warm and this was a welcome change. As he settled back into the dark grey leather seat, he instructed the driver to take him to Casa Vivaldi, the hotel that the company travel co-coordinator had reserved for him. Jake had little interest in the view; he was there on business and immediately opened his briefcase to read over his documents.

Casa Vivaldi was a charming little colonial style hotel, with internet, a restaurant/bar and a lovely pool. The rates were reasonable and there was a choice of rooms with either air conditioning or a ceiling fan. Alicia chose the latter. Air con was not good for the bronchial tubes ...
