Almost every morning around 10:30 I go to the local coffee shop (Tim Hortons), have a coffee and read the morning paper if there is one there. Being in the habit of reading my home-delivered alternate paper anytime after 6:00 a.m., reading the one at Tims doesn't take long.

On Thursday morning about a month and a half ago, I had parked my car and was about to go into the shop. A lady got out of her van at the same time, and we struck up a conversation.
