Jeff was a thirty-something businessman. He appeared to be a hansom combination of Jewish/Swedish. His wavy hair fluttered in the wind as he drove down the street. Peering out the windshield, he looked for an address on a building so he could get an idea of how close he was to his destination. Just leaning forward was painful. Lightning ran the length of his back, causing him to wince. Gerard swore by the masseuse for whom he was now looking. "She will rip you apart and put you back together," Gerard boasted. "You'll feel better than you have since you were 18." Well, if he could feel like 25, he'd be happy.

Finally, the sign came into view: "Deep Red Day Spa". Jeff pulled into the rear parking lot, got out, and headed inside. The two-story building was in good condition, though both the interior and exterior were throwbacks to the 70s. The entrance and lobby opened up to an atrium, into which poured light from clerestory windows. Hooking his sunglasses to his shirt, he approached the front desk. As he did, he became aware of the second story walkway that skirted the atrium. Several doors could be seen through the balustrade. A nice looking lady behind the counter greeted him with a smile, "Hello. Welcome to Deep Red. Is this your first visit?"

"Yes, it is," admits Jeff.

"Excellent! My name is Venus."
