Dan was going on again about how his wife never paid attention to him, how she never made him a hot meal, and how she never showed him any respect. It was a refrain both Kenny and Hank heard over and over while working with Dan. This time there were a few differences. For the first time in his life, at age 36, Dan was drunk. Really more like buzzed since he had been goaded into having a beer and a shot and had started a second beer.
