It had been a wonderful wedding, Mike Camozzi thought as he and Michelle made their way from the wedding banquet to the hotel room they had reserved. Michelle's roommate, Cindy, had just tied the knot with her boyfriend, John Smith. The wedding itself had been a straightforward affair, with a simple Catholic ceremony, then a nice banquet at the hotel. All their friends had been there, and everybody had a great time. Michelle had been Cindy's maid of honor, and, to Mike's satisfaction, had managed to look absolutely stunning in her pink bridesmaid's dress. Mike had dressed up in style for the wedding, in his Marine mess uniform, with its scarlet sash, black jacket buttoned only at the neck, and miniature campaign medals. With a smile, Mike remembered how many young ladies wanted to talk to him, and occasionally caught Michelle casting jealous glances in their direction.

"Keep off, ladies," her hostile look seemed to say. "He's mine."

Throughout the banquet, Mike had always kept Michelle in mind. Occasionally, he would summon her gently, and take her to a more discreet corner somewhere near the banquet hall, and compliment her with just the right romantic words. She would pretend to object, and then reward his compliments with a kiss.
