Buying a new suit is usually a pain in the ass. According to my wife, the off the rack ones never fit me properly and that leaves me stuck with going to a tailor and spending a lot more money. I decided I’d go try Justine’s Tailors in Northwood Mall. After what happened to me at Justine’s, they’re going to get all my future business.

It was a Tuesday night and the mall wasn’t all that busy. My wife and I found a parking space without any difficulty. The few shoppers that were in the mall strolled languidly up and down the mall mostly looking into the various stores and continuing past. My wife decided to do some window-shopping of her own while I headed to the tailors. She’d meet me there after she was done.

Justine’s is one of these warehouse-type stores with the high ceiling with all the ductwork and pipes exposed and the floor-to-ceiling support posts scattered throughout. There were mirrors all over the place, including the dressing room doors and on the posts themselves.

When I got there, the store was empty of people except for the two sales girls that were busily reorganizing the racks in the store. I sauntered in and they didn’t really pay too much attention to me at first. I wasn’t even sure they noticed me. In my business suit and tie, I probably looked just like every other customer that they dealt with. I started going through the suits hanging on the racks.
