Maggie's Farm

Maggie was coming in from one of her outer fields that she grew corn on, when she saw someone sitting in one of the rocking chairs on her porch. One of the local families had become famous with their handmade rocking chairs and her father had happened to have gotten a couple before they were discovered and thus got them before they were too expensive to buy. She couldn't make out who it was other than that the person was a man and a big man at that. She noticed that Max and Angel, two of her border collies were at his side demanding attention. She looked down at Princess, her other border collie as she noticed the man. Princess let out a yelp that Max and Angel answered then she took off for the house. Maggie then knew who the man was, her dogs never let anyone get near her house unless they knew them and more importantly that they liked that person, so that mean that it was Judge Kerner. The Judge and her father had been close friends before her father had died so she knew him very well as she also had been friends with one of his daughters when they were in high school. Maggie wondered just what he why he had ventured out here to see her. It must have been important for him to take time away from the bench in the middle of the week just to see her.
