"My my Liz. Eric must really make you tow the line." Storm aka Jonathan Page bit out sarcastically. He was referring to Liz's latest love.

Liz and Storm had dated briefly a year before when she became the singer in the club where he played the piano. It was more a hobby of his than a job as he was a successful songwriter and had written dozens of hits for other singers. He couldn't sing but he could play the piano so he hired Liz to sing to old standards and recent hits..some that he wrote.

"You are just jealous that I found someone better, that is all. I just came to tell you that I quit. Eric doesn't want me working at some dive bar anymore."

With a three drink minimum and an upscale clientle in Manhattan the club hardly qualifed as a dive, but Storm shrugged his shoulders.

"Whatever Liz. So I take it this is your way of giving me your two weeks?"

"Hardly. I quit."
