Since she already told her boss she would represent the club she worked for, even though I was to be in town that weekend Lilly would work for the night of the contest. She never worked when I was there so we were making an exception on this evening. The contest was to be an individual dance contest to be held at another of the bars just up the street.

The bar holding the contest was quite small and the place quickly filled up even long before the contest was to begin. Since we arrived there two hours before the scheduled start, we were fortunate enough to get a front row seat at a table directly in front of the small stage that the contest would take place. The stage was a mere six inches above the regular floor so the girls would basically still be near eye level as they stood on the stage. The table we secured had four seats and one of Lilly's girlfriends had spent the day with us and was joining us for the evening leaving us with one empty seat.

The DJ who would announce the girls and serve as the emcee for the evening approached me early on and asked me if I would be one of the judges. It seems at random he was wandering through the crowd and selecting five judges. I was given a box containing numbers 1 - 10 written in bold print on the back of 8" x 11" poster board paper. Mia, Lilly's friend, told me the only number I needed for Lilly was a 10, if I wanted to get laid later.
