I was heading to work on the train. It was just another commute morning reading over some notes I needed for my first meeting. I take the same train every day and over time had become more or less used to the noise and sounds of the masses of people, although I do try to block them out as much as possible. I normally try to sit alone and focus on my work, although I am often frustrated as the train is often too crowded to allow me to sit alone.

As the train made it's way into the city people got on and off, without my paying a whole lot of attention to them. It was just a Tuesday morning, four more stops and then I would be at the stop where my office is.

I had started my own business a few years ago, after getting burned out being a nurse and wanting a change. Of course I worked more hours now than I did as a nurse, but it was a lot less stressful, both physically and emotionally, and the change was truly giving me whole new outlook on life.

I happened to look up as we stopped and the next group of passengers boarded. It was starting to get really crowded and I knew I would have company in the seat next to me very soon. I put my papers away and prepared for the inevitable. As the people passed the seats filled. I looked up to see a nice looking gentleman standing next to the empty seat beside me.
