It is a pleasant evening and I am walking along the beach. I am barefoot and can feel the sand and small stones between my toes, I always have enjoyed walking with no shoes on and people have always been amazed that I can walk over the stoniest of ground with no pain! It is just getting dark, the sun is dropping in the sky and is casting the most amazing glow over the sea. The sea is calm, very small waves are breaking on the shoreline and as each one breaks the sound is comforting. I keep walking along till I reach the far side of the beach where it is quite rocky. I am looking for somewhere to sit to read my book, I need some peace and the beach seemed a good place to go.

I find a rock which I can sit on the sand and lean against, it's not the most comfortable place in the world but it is quiet and I can see what is going on around me without being too noticeable myself. I start reading my book and before long am thoroughly engrossed in what I am reading. I can lose track of time this way, lost in somebody else's life.

It is getting darker and I have hardly realised, it occurs to me when I am struggling to read the words on the page in front of me, I have no idea how long I have been sitting here as I don't have a watch on. It is getting a bit chilly and I wish I had bought a jumper with me but I had been in such a hurry to get down here I had never picked one up.
