Trip to the Grocery Store

I always considered the local 24-hour A&P Grocery Store a convenient and efficient place to pick up some groceries after work or to stock up on some late night munchies. But just recently, I discovered that this particular food mart offered far more than aisles of chips and soup. I overheard a friend at work recounting a story about an x-rated adventure at the grocery store, but I assumed that he was just talking about a story he had read on some internet site. When I asked him about it later, he swore that it was all true. Mike told me that I should go shopping some evening and check out the subtle action going on in some of the nearly deserted aisles. He said he that often encountered couples who seemed to be conducting a private game of show and tell that wasn't so private after all. He even confessed that he'd asked his own wife to wear a short skirt and skimpy blouse when they went shopping the previous weekend, but she had simply given him an incredulous look and shook her head. The next weekend, I was mindlessly flicking through the tv channels and finding nothing of interest when I recalled my conversation with Mike. He had suggested a late evening at a 24-hour store and assured me that I wouldn't be disappointed. With nothing to lose, I put on my shoes and headed for my car. When I arrived at the A&P, it was the usual scene: yawning cashiers, employees stocking shelves, the deli and bakery sections long closed.
