Setting: Aruba Ocean Club at night. A rock grotto up a flight of stairs from the pool deck conceals an irregularly shaped hot tub sunk into the stone with secluded alcoves screened by plants and flowering vines. Murmurs of conversation drift up from the pool below area below.

I lounge back against the smooth side of the hot tub, eyes closed. Clasped loosely in one hand is a frosty glass, fruit on a spear sticking to one side. Only half full, the rest of a rare alcoholic drink has already gone to my head, combining with the hot swirling water to fog my mind and relax my body.

Very faintly, I hear the rustle of the plants around me. A soft breeze has been periodically stirring them, caressing my wet shoulders and neck and causing little shivers from the contrast before the breeze subsides. Contributing the noise to the breeze again, I sink deeper into the water and take a slow sip from my drink.

The water gently laps at my body. I feel what seems to be water plants drift against me and move away. At first, I enjoy the sensation. Then, realizing that there are no water plants in the hot tub, I open my eyes.
