Big time at Big Sky

Finally, the week in Big Sky had finally arrived. We had been planning this trip for a long time, the wife and I, we had set this as our goal. A goal for having lost some excess weight that we had both accumulated over the years.

Twenty-five years ago I had weighed 185 lbs on my six foot frame; my wife had weighed 115 lbs on her five feet six inches. Then thanks to kids and age our weights had steadily grown. The wife packed on an extra forty and I had packed on an extra hundred pounds. Our doctors were after us to lose some weight and we seemed to put it off and then the husband of Pat's older sister dropped dead from a heart attack and we then realized that we had to change our lifestyles.

So we cut back on the fatty foods and we got into healthy living. Pat took up walking four miles a day and I took to riding a bicycle twenty miles a day when I got home from the office and before we had supper. Our goals were to get down to our weights when we were married and by George we did it or at least close enough to count.

Pat now weighed a hundred and twenty pounds and it was all distributed very nicely. The only real change from our wedding day and today was she was now a 38C instead of a 38B. My weight was now a hundred and ninety five and my doctor said that was very good for someone my age. ...
