"So, tell me about these dreams you've been having," Dr. Richard Sand coaxed as he peered at his patient through tortoiseshell glasses, "why are they troubling you?"

Derrick paused to twiddle his thumbs nervously before answering. He took a deep breath a nervously blinked his green eyes. He could trust his shrink, right? Derrick bit his lip in anticipation. If Dr. Sand was concerned by his admission, he didn't show it; he didn't so much as bat an eye as he jotted notes on his yellow notepad.

"Go on," the doctor urged.
