Speak of the Devil by KnightWriter Danny Parsons acquired the nicknames "Nerd" and "Geek" early on in life. Most of the time, he didn't mind the terms, however, when it was used by girls or women it had a devastating impact. There were times, however, when it had its distinct advantages.

When people thought you were nerdy, it usually meant they thought you to be smarter than the people making fun of you were.
