When I travel I've found that the best way to find good places to eat is to ask the locals, since it's not uncommon for people to like to brag about their favorite places. Sales people in nice stores are always helpful. "The place I usually go to when I get off work is the pub just down the street. It's not the closest but the food is good and the people there are the best." So off I went.

In the states there are some bars that have good food but it's not a sure thing. In the European pubs I've eaten in I've found that the food is usually very good and is often excellent. As soon as I entered this one my nose told me that I was in capable hands here. Being in no hurry, I sat at the bar and had a pint as an appetizer. After a few minutes I looked into the mirror behind the bottles to see who was sitting beside me. There was a man about my age and an attractive brunette who appeared to be in our age range as well, mid-thirties.
