I took a deep breath, finally enjoying a moment of stillness. Today was going to be a good day, I could feel it in my bones. It was one of those rare days in which I found myself child free, and I made a mental note to thank Mary again when I picked up my kiddo that night. I had nothing planned, but the world was my oyster and I was going to make damn sure that I enjoyed myself. I checked the weather, it was supposed to be sunny and mild, in the upper 70s in town. I touched the flame to the wick of the candle, and in it's magical way, the fire doubled in size. I waved the matchstick to extinguish it's flame, and watched the smoke dance in circles. Soon, the smell of sulfur and matches gave way to the tranquil scent of my jasmine candle, I turn off the light and I stepped into the shower.
