The Truth About Flight Crews, Part 2.

We were on our way to Munich and just as got past Boston and into the international flight lanes, it was time for me to make a cabin check, greet and schmooze with the passengers, press a few palms, and see how the flight crew was doing, as we had 3 newbies on their first international flight. As I was standing in the galley talking with Adele, we must have hit a pocket of clear air turbulence. The plane pitched a bit and suddenly I had Adele pressed into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her to keep her from falling. I heard the first officer turn on the seatbelt sign and tell the people we'd hit some unforeseen turbulence. After I helped Adele regain her balance I called to the cockpit to check on the situation. Steve Hayward, my first officer, said that ATC told him we'd run out of it in five minutes or so. Adele apologized for her stumble and I reassured her it was OK. Now Adele is a 6' 1" beauty. She's about 160 pounds with easily a 40D chest.
