This is my First story to be published. The names in this story have been changed, because it is based loosely on truth.

It started innocently enough, Jarred was browsing Facebook casually looking to see what old friends or acquaintances were up to. Jarred was in the Navy on long term hold waiting for a new job since he lost his almost a year before. He noticed a girl he went to high school with, who was living in the Houston area, posted a public note, titled: Letting go. Jarred was immediately disturbed by this as it sounded as if she was about to commit suicide. Having had the man down the hallway just commit suicide a short 2 months earlier he immediately read the note. The girl, named Jennifer was obviously depressed, but thankfully didn't appear to be suicidal.

She was distraught over the loss of a job she had poured her soul into for 6 years, and had finally removed the cancerous relationship with a sexually abusive man, that was adamant that their relationship remain secret, as if he was ashamed of it. Jarred felt Jennifer needed some words of encouragement so he immediately sent her a message describing the job he had recently lost and to keep hope high, as another job would come along, and the economy would turn around soon. Jarred was genuinely concerned for her well being, so gave a short speech about suicide and how it isn't a solution.

Jarred, not expecting a response any time soon, continued to peruse ...
