This story was written in behalf of a request made by a friend. I was given the challenge of writing a story about her and her new lover using the criteria she set forth. She has read it and was overjoyed with the outcome. I hope many of you will feel the same.

You need this job, don't let her get to you he kept saying to himself. He stood outside her open door gathering up enough calm to enter. Her secretary was out for the day, so he couldn't rely on her to give him a head's up on how the boss was feeling today.

He walked into the room and there was her empty chair behind the large dark wood desk. He looked down at the corner and saw a light purple shoe heel peeking out. He followed the heel up to the mid-calf where it was cut off by the obstructing office trash can. He tightened his hands into fists; he was trying to keep his composure.

Damn computers. She raised herself up and stood upright. She turned towards the front of the office as she pulled her hair out of her face and down her back. "DIOS MIO!" she screeched when she saw Tomas standing there. Her right hand went to her chest where her heart was doing over time; most of if was from the sight of seeing him standing there.
