The Photography Session

"Half-price Portrait and Glamour Sessions All Next Week", read the sign in the window.

I paused to read it again. I often stopped to look in this particular photographer's window. He usually had a good selection of portraits, landscapes and wedding photographs on display. And when I say good, I mean quality as well as variety. One of the photos that had been on show recently had been of someone I knew, and I couldn't believe how much better she looked in the photograph than in real life. Since then I'd toyed with the idea of having a portrait photo done, just to see how good I'd look. Perhaps I'd even hang it where visitors could admire it!

What caused me to stop for longer in front of the window this time was not just the half-price offer but the prospect of a glamour session. It wasn't something I'd considered before, but as I stood there in front of the window the idea began to grow on me.

My main doubt was concerning my age. I should say that my name is Patricia, Pat for short, and at the time I was well into middle age, certainly older than the glamour models one saw in fashion magazines.
