It was a beautiful fall day.....the foliage was at the peak of its color.....vivid reds, oranges and yellows. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the temperature was 58 degrees.......a perfect day for a hike.

I put on my most comfortable pair of jeans (worn, faded and very form fitting), a flannel shirt with a t-shirt under it and my hiking boots. I then went into the kitchen to pack my backpack with the supplies I would need for a day out in the wilderness. With my pack on my back and a smile on my face I headed out for a day of sight seeing and relaxation.

The morning seemed to fly by......before I knew it it was one thirty and my stomach was starting to protest, so I decided to stop for lunch. I found a beautiful spot that overlooked the valley below and spread out a thin blanket to sit on. Once I was situated I started to pull out the food I had brought...cheese, apple slices, grapes, crackers and of course my water bottle. I had no sooner started to eat when I heard someone coming through the trees and bushes near the trail. When I looked back there you stood.....tall, handsome and slightly out of breath after your long hike. When you saw me sitting there you said, "I'm sorry if I'm intruding. This looked like a good place to rest, but if you would rater be alone I'll find another spot". I said, "No, I thought it was a nice spot to stop myself. You can join me if you like". "I'd love to", you said and walked over and sat on the edge of the blanket. ...
