The tutor

I was really very happy with my life. My husband was a good man. He was senior partner in his accounting firm. We had a nice house and I had a nice car. We were unable to have children so I had plenty of free time. I was addicted to exercise and had belonged to a Gym for 15 years. We lived in a College town that had very nice shops and beautiful little bistros. I was active in my church women's auxiliary. I had three advanced degrees and had just come from a counseling appointment at the college.

I was a bit concerned. I loved academia and had been a full time student for 15 years. It didn't bother me that I was now older than most the other students. I just loved being in school. It gave me purpose. In counseling earlier this year, the councilor had looked over my transcript and was very blunt. She had told me flat out that she thought it was time I actually did something useful with my education. There was so very few courses available that I hadn't already taken that it was obvious to her that I was just in school for schools sake and not really there to advance my life. I was little upset with her but upon reflection I had to agree. School had become a hobby. I used it to fill my time.
