A little while ago I was feeling a bit hard up for money - I'd tried having a lodger, but found having someone else living in my flat was an invasion of my privacy, even when they were hardly ever in. I decided the only solution was to take a second job - and as usual for me, things didn't turn out quite as I expected.....

I used to work at one of the classier hotels in town while I was at school and knew they often took on staff who could only work weekends. Weekdays were out due to my regular job. When I went to see the manager, he was a little surprised that someone with my qualifications was looking at doing fairly menial jobs but as it was approaching the holiday season he was on the look out for a few extra staff. After explaining that he would only be able to pay me a fairly basic hourly rate, he offered me a position as a chamber maid - basically I would be cleaning the rooms in between guests, and providing linen changes for longer stay guests. Through the discussion, I couldn't help noticing that this manager was a fairly attractive man, probably only a few years older than myself - around my height with dark hair, just beginning to be speckled with a few strands of grey, giving him an air of maturity. His badge told me his first name name was Kieron.

I turned up, surprisingly anxious, for my first shift not really knowing what to expect. I'm used to having a certain level of responsibility so I wasn't sure how I would fit in back at the bottom of the ladder again. I was quite impressed that Kieron came to greet me in person, ...
