JAN AT THE FUNDRAISER

The fund raiser was held at a hotel downtown, and both Todd and Jan had to go. Many of his clients at the investment firm would be there and the art gallery Jan worked for was auctioning several works. They had been married nearly six months now and it was the first time in the one year they had been together that their work-related social obligations had coincided.

They had decided to get a room at the hotel, spend the night there and stay in town for the weekend. They had checked in and, when they were in the room changing clothes Todd had not been able to resist grabbing his naked young wife and making quick love to her on the big bed. They both knew that there would be time to do it slowly after the party.

What the fashionable cause was that funds were being raised for is not important, but the large ballroom was crowded and, since each of them had their own group of people they wanted to greet, they were quickly separated. Drinks and champagne flowed. The din of conversations filled the room. Todd was many times congratulated on his recent marriage, men enviously admiring Jan's slender long legs, well shown by the cut of her cocktail dress.
