Test Driving Mercedes

Mercedes Anderson navigated her Lexus through heavy traffic heading home, lost in thought. She wondered when she really changed her mind about marriage. She loved Preston still, but worried that he really didn't love her or care for her. Things certainly hadn't turned out like she expected them to when she married some seven years earlier. Preston was her knight in shining armor. He offered her security. She wanted love. She wanted him to take care of her.

Still, her desire for protection did not stop Mercedes from getting her Masters and a well-paying position of responsibility. She wrapped herself in her career as Preston did in his.
