When Friday morning arrived, I think I was happier than I could ever remember being before. Tracy came over and I made us breakfast. She was wearing the ugliest clothes I have ever seen her wear. She had jeans that were obviously way too big for her and a sweatshirt that was considerably over-sized. I could not believe how miserable she looked, but at the same time I was so happy to see her that I could not keep my hands off of her. I kissed her every time anything happened. I wanted to kiss her forever, but I knew that all good things must eventually come to an end.

Tracy and I finally broke apart, but only because both of us were starving and breakfast was starting to burn. I managed to salvage enough to eat and we sat down at opposite ends of the kitchen table so that we could talk. We had a few plans to discuss for the day, and I thought I should make sure of a few final details.

"Now, you have talked to Kate before today right? So this won't be a totally awkward situation for the two of you to spend the day together at the mall, will it?"

"No," she said, "in fact I am looking forward to meeting Kate in person. I think it will be fun to have a girlfriend that I can talk to about things. Besides, she seems very nice and it will be fun to meet your best friend as well. Isn't he a doctor or something?"
