Robert Samuel came from a hard working family near Allenhurst, Georgia. He had just married the best looking girl in the county, Patti Jo Douglas. I guess her name is now Patti Jo Samuel. Robert's father farmed 80 acres near the Basin River. Since starting with nothing but the shirt on his back he had made a good living. He built a house and raised 7 children and had no dept.

Now Patti Jo's family was a different story. Patti Jo's Grand Father, Colonel George Douglas was one of the original home steadier's in Liberty County. The family owned several hundred acres of the best land in Liberty County. Patti Jo's father, Joseph Douglas was an only son and had inherited the plantation when the Colonel passed away.
