MY FIRST LIMO RIDE (PART 1)

About 4 years ago, I volunteered to help out at the United Negro College Fund's Annual TV telethon in Los Angeles. Considering that I had benefitted greatly from the charity's work, I felt I was obligated to help out behind the scenes with the show and with raising money.

I was 20 at the time, attending Cal- Berkley, and was in LA for the first time in my life. My job for the weekend was basically to be tucked away in the depths of the studio, answering phones, getting the talent coffee and generally staying out of the way of the hundreds of people that madly whizzed and rushed around.
