"You write dirty stories?" Melissa asked me, sounding slightly uneasy.

"Erotic," I corrected her.

"Whatever," she said.

The four of us sat around our patio table under the big umbrella, drinking Mojitos and munching on melon, salsa and chips. It was a Saturday afternoon in late June, warm but not uncomfortably hot.
