I suppose you could say this story began just about three years ago, when I moved into my new house and met my next-door neighbors, Rob and Mandy. At that time, Mandy was twenty-three and Rob was twenty- five. On the second day, they had knocked on my door and welcomed me to the neighborhood. I invited them in but warned them the house was in a state of chaos and as I had a chance to go to the grocery store as of yet, so I could not offer them a drink other than a glass of water. Mandy immediately asked me to join them for dinner at their home. I tried to decline the offer, but she would have none of it and with me finally excepting her invitation, they said good-bye and promptly left.

As soon as they were gone, I found the number to a nearby wine merchant and called them. I arranged for a bottle of very good wine and a bag of ice to be delivered to my door. It's not often you get that kind of service, that is, unless your willing to give them an extra fifty bucks for their efforts. After spending the remainder of the afternoon trying to get my home organized, I cleaned up, grabbed the wine and headed over to the neighbor's house.

Rob met me at the door and after offering the bottle of wine to Mandy, the two of us retired to their entertainment room to watch a game on TV and get to know each other a bit. Soon dinner was ready. I enjoyed a wonderful meal with them and learned a little about them as well. Rob worked for a consulting firm, although he didn't go into detail ...
