When he was walking through the office, the secretary asked him if he had time to come in to her office she had something to ask him. He had a few minutes still before he was off break so he obliged her and sat across from her curious as to what she wanted. She sat down and pulled up something on her computer and then asked him if he wanted a paid vacation of sorts for the next week he was off. What's the catch he asked knowing it couldn't be that easy of a deal. She said one of their clients found some bad products and wanted some reps from the company to fly out and go through the rest of the stock and make sure no others were bad. Him and several others would fly out that weekend and be put up in a hotel and given food allowance and some spending cash a rental car to get to and from the hotel and plant where they would be going. They would have to work around 8-10 hours a day looking through the shipment and meeting with the companies managers. He asked her which plant was he going to since there were quite a few they had dealings with, hoping it was by some place he might actually get to sneak off and visit and really get a paid vacation.

As he walked back to his machine he mulled over the offer in his head. It was a plant not more than 50 miles from an old girlfriend of his he hadn't seen in several years and he was planning if it would work out to spend some time with her if he made the trip. She was married now and they still kept in touch calling each other several times a month to keep current on their families and what was new. He thought of the last time they had seen each other and how good she looked and his mind ...
