Susan and I were hardly speaking to each other when we arrived at Dr Harold Benskin's palatial home in one of the most upscale communities in the island of Barbados. It was rumoured that each house in this gated community cost the owner in excess of ten million dollars. As a builder I had acepted the invitation with my wife just to see the inside of what looked like a little palace.

Getting into the compound had been challenging. We had to wait at the gate while the security people posted at the gate checked us out to see what business we had in the community. The house was impressive to say the least. The two story structure looked like it could house a small army. The wall were constructed from river stone specially imported from a neighbouring island. There was marble stone every where. Every aspect of the elegant architecture was designed to captivate the human eye.
