It had been almost a week and he could not wait any longer. He was desperate to see her. So much so that he had skipped off work and got an early train. Sods law. He would be early but her train was running late. Not to worry rather than meeting at the hotel he could go to her station. He smiled to himself thinking about how she would react when she saw him.

A few texts to check timings and he was certain he could be there before her delayed train got in. Off his train, run across the station and on to the underground. Fifteen minutes later he was scanning the arrivals boards at Kings Cross. Three minutes to spare. But would she see him? It was a busy station. Almost six o'clock, height of the rush hour. Another text, on the tube. She'd need the Northern Line. He could wait by the entrance.

There she was. It would need more that a thousand tired commuters to hider her from his search. Brilliant blonde hair shining link a halo as she bobbed along the platform; Heavy bag in one hand and rucksack thrown over her shoulder; Head down as she walked and tapped into her Blackberry. She could do this on autopilot. Another Wednesday and another overnighter in London. Still he'd be at the hotel to meet her. It was going to be more fun than the other trips. ...
