The Office Design Works in My Favor

I have been a mid-level executive for eight years in a vibrant atmosphere with the local office of a national real estate conglomerate. Our company, Fair Equity Development Syndicate (FEDS), develops, manages, purchases, and operates a successful real estate investment trust (REIT) with many of the purchased properties. I'll confess that I know very little about real estate as my position is in the financial end of the business. Other employees kid about me being the 'money man' and to stay on my good side or I'll cut off their income sources. Sometimes I wish I could do that, but I deal with property monies, not payrolls and operating expenses. That's done by my neighbors in the office. I just turned thirty-six and expect to be here for the long haul, or at least until I'm fifty-five for that's in my planning for retirement age.
