This is a true story which started when I placed an advert in a contact magazine back in the 80's. It relates to a time before the shadow of AIDS so I hope you will forgive the unsafe aspects of the tale.

I am a married man then aged 34 whose wife has no interest in sex. She has given me permission to partake on the pleasures of the flesh while I am away from home provided I am discreet and careful. Since I travel nationwide on business I have plenty of opportunity to meet new people and this story relates to one episode.

I advertised to meet mature ladies or couples and received half a dozen replies the most interesting was from a widow in her early fifties . When I 'phoned her she was clearly nervous and very unsure about meeting but after a talk about our interests and needs we agreed to meet in her local pub the following week when I was in the area.

I arrived at the pub early and waited in the car park, at five minutes before the agreed time I saw a smartly dressed lady walking into the pub and wondered whether this might be Joan. A few minutes later, before I had manage to enter the pub, the lady came out of the pub and started walking away. I called to the woman and said "Joan?" she replied "Yes, are you Alex?" After our introductions we went and sat in my car where Joan admitted she had got cold feet and was on her way home!
