About a year ago, while I was out of work, things started to get hectic around the house. Bills were piling up faster than we could pay them and we were close to getting behind on our mortgage. I had been laid off from my job and my search for a new one had not gone well. Then, one day my husband came home from his job at a local school and told me that there was an opening and suggested that I look into it. I told him that I was definitely interested in anything that could help to pay the bills at this point. We were pretty desperate and we didn't want to lose the house. The next day, I went down and filled out an application.

A couple weeks went by, before I got a phone call from the school. They were interested in having me come in for an interview for a teachers aide position. It wasn't a high-paying position, but at least I got my foot in the door and could make some money. When I arrived for the interview, I went in to meet with the supervisor and the principal of the school. Everything went pretty good during the interview. My husband had also pulled some strings in order to help me get the job. By the end of our meeting they were convinced that I was the right choice for the job. They asked me when I could start and I told them as soon as possible. We all got up and shook hands and I was told to report to work the following Monday morning. I was very excited to start my new job and to finally get some income again.
