This had happened a few years ago.

One day my husband called me from work and told me to get ready for a party which his friend was hosting at his house. His friend was a Pilot in the Indian Air Force and was recently posted to the Airforce Base near our City. My husband had often told me how close their friendship was and how they shared everything when they were studying together. My husband had also tried for a career in the armed forces, but could not make it for medical reasons. This has always been the biggest disappointment for him and he always envied his Friend who became a Fighter Pilot. My husband however chose a different path and became a successful businessman. The only disquieting point in my life thus far was that my husband started drinking. When I protested, he explained at first that it was a necessary part of running a business , that he had to entertain existing and potential customers. I was unhappy with the situation, and when it worsened, I begged him to limit his intake and return home early, as I had experienced his erratic driving when he had imbibed more than three drinks.

It had been a very long time since we had gone out together. So, It was a joyous occassion for me.I dressed up for the occassion and was ready by the time my husband reached home. He freshened up and we were soon on the way to the airbase. We had to ask for directions to his friend's house and we were directed by one of the Airmen on security duty.
