I woke up that Friday morning feeling great, it was a beautiful fall morning the sun was shining but there was a bit of a nip in the air. Life was good and it could only get better with a short day of work and then a weekend ahead of me. I have always loved the fall although this fall things had changed a bit and we were still adjusting to a new way of life. Four weeks earlier we had dropped our youngest daughter off at college out of state. She was only about three hours away but that is long enough that we have not seen her since the day we checked her into the dorms. This was the first fall in what felt like forever we did not have the excitement of a new school year consuming our every minute. As I stared into the mirror shaving I was lost in thought thinking about the year gone by and how I missed the high school soccer season and all the kids that had become part of our lives. Just then my wife walked in to the bathroom and wrapped her arms around me. I loved the feel of her naked body pressed into me. One of the benefits of being an empty nester is we have been sleeping naked since the night we dropped Megan of at school. As she hugged me her hand ran down my stomach to my bloated balls.
