My Healer Part Five

The next morning, they packed up their things and got into the car. Grace first took Hope to the Hoover Dam, showing her how big it was and all the water it held back. After spending most of the day there, they headed back toward the interstate that would take them eastward. They just got back onto the interstate when Hope decided that they had done enough for the day. So Grace found a place that they could spend the night. The found a nice restaurant nearby to eat and then took a walk before heading to the motel room where they took a shower before heading to bed.

That next day they moved on into New Mexico, Grace told Hope about the native Indians that lived there. Hope looked each tribe up on her tablet and they talked about them. Grace told Hope all about how the Indians were pushed off their lands by the white people that were taking over the nation. Hope frowned at this and Grace felt bad about it but this was done long before she was around however it was a part of her people's history. They stopped and had their lunch near one of the reservations and then they visited with the Indians there. Grace let Hope do most of the talking and she could see how everyone opened ...
