The elevator doors opened and I nervously stepped out into the empty hallway. Directly in front of me was a sign with the room numbers posted and I glanced up and saw that room 22137 was to the left. I turned and walked to the left and I tried not to look like I didn't know where I was going or what I was doing. I didn't know if there were any security cameras in the hallway or not but I didn't care.

I stood in front of room 22137 and paused for a moment before I knocked lightly on the door. I felt my heart beating rapidly in my chest as I waited for him to answer the door. A few moments later I heard the lock disengage and the door opened slightly. I took one last look around and made sure I wasn't being watched before I pushed the door open just a bit before I stepped inside.

The room was dark except for the light coming from the bathroom at the other end of the room. Not a word was spoken but I knew he was there sitting in the dark watching me. This had all already been rehearsed and agreed upon. I waited for a moment to allow my vision to adjust to the dim light before I proceeded to walk towards the bathroom. The faint aroma of used matches still lingered in the air and I noticed that several candles were lit and placed around the room.
